Elven Pantheon

The elves were the first creatures to walk upon Laenwold after the Comet Strike. The elves take the symbol of the comet in many of their totems, holy symbols and ornaments. Even though it is well known that the Comet Strike caused great destruction, the elves give thanks to the comet, for without its presence, the elves would not exist. The elves also believe that magic did not exist upon Laenwold until the comet arrived.

The ancient gods of the elves were the deities that were in existence before the comet changed the composition of the world. The modern deities are by no means young. They are the gods that were born during and after the chaos of the comet's arrival. The youngest deity is Urdamaris Goldenhair and it is known that he is well over 35,000 years old.

There are many intertwining relationships within the elven pantheon. Here are some summary notes about them:

  • Calandros Laurelandil is married to Gilanne Goldenwife.
  • Alina Goldenchild is the daughter of Calandros and Gilanne.
  • Urdamaris is the son of Calandros and Gilanne, but there are rumors that someone other than Calandros is the father.
  • Mallanan and Ellmalen Urdithlan are non-identical twin brothers that claim to be the little brothers of Calandros. The twins of evil work together in harmony at the head of the evil elven deities.
  • Shaswen Silverbow and Carcoral Brightshield are identical twins, but it is easy to tell them apart since they are of the opposite sex. It is unknown who their parents are.

This combat can be as minor as sparring with a partner or can involve a full-scale battle. Commanding troops and not actually getting involved in battle is adequate for recovering all spells, but only tending wounds afterwards does not.
